CALLOUT: Upper Brynamman 21/07/2019

At 03:24 this morning, Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police requested Western Beacons Mountain Rescue to rescue a male with a lower leg injury near upper Brynamman, he was found to be in quite a difficult to reach location.

The Western Beacons Mountain Rescue team Doctor treated the male’s injuries, while a joint Mountain rescue and Mid and West Wales Fire Service built a technical rope system to raise the casualty a short distance; so he could be safely extracted. The casualty was then transferred to an ambulance and taken to hospital for further medical attention, and at 05:43 the team made it back to base. We wish the injured male a speedy recovery!
